NAME

    counter-validate - validate and repair COUNTER usage reports


SYNOPSIS

    counter-validate [OPTION]... FILE


DESCRIPTION

    counter-validate determines whether the input file is a valid COUNTER (Release 2)
    report.  Any problems that can reliably be fixed are fixed, and the report (with
    any corrections) is printed to standard output.  The exit status indicates whether
    the report was valid or could be makde valid.

    The following report types are validated; other types are not yet implemented:

        - Journal Report 1
        - Journal Report 2
        - Database Report 1
        - Database Report 2
        - Database Report 3
